Thoughts On Towns and Economy

Post  SPWeber on Wed Jun 05, 2013 1:19 pm

In Econicraft 1, the three biggest towns were made by admins in creative. This and the fact that it cost quite a large amount of money to start a town made it extremely difficult for survival players to own towns. I think we should do away with creative-built towns and lower the town-creating price. We should have strict guidelines to keep creative and survival separate, so everyone has a fair shot. Limit creative to admins and the /fly commmand to donators.

As for the economy, I think the main source of trade should be player shops. People who look for an economy server (especially one called ECONIcraft) probably don't want to join a server where most of the trading is done through servershops, the Minecraft equivilant of communism. If we have very few or no server shops then we can let the natural flow of Minecraft capitalism take its course, and without an servershop prices and unlimited stock to take advantage of.

I share the views expressed in this post and would like to adopt them as server policy. Would anyone have any objections to me bringing this to a vote between the old economy and the new one?
